OBS Studio Setup
Adding your custom NowPlaying widget to your livestream is incredibly easy.
1. Get your secure Link
First, Log in with Spotify and head to your Overview panel. Configure your widget exactly how you want it to look using the real-time preview.
Once you are happy with the layout, click the Copy Widget URL button located in the integration settings box. Keep this link private!
2. Add to OBS
- Open OBS Studio (or Streamlabs Desktop)
- In your Sources dock, click the + (Plus) button.
- Select Browser from the list of sources.
- Name the source something memorable like “Spotify Widget” and press OK.
3. Configure the Browser Source
You will now see a properties window for your new Browser Source:
- URL: Paste your unique widget link here.
- Width: Set this to
500(The widget is responsive, but this gives it comfortable space) - Height: Set this to
200 - Use custom frame rate: (Optional) Check this and set to 60fps for maximally smooth progress bar animations.
Press OK!
You’re Live!
Play a track on your Spotify application. Within a few seconds, the widget should slide into view inside your OBS canvas. You can now resize or move it around your scene just like any other overlay. When you pause the music, it will automatically transition out.
